What is bubble tea?

Bubble tea use very special black or green tea, adding ground flavored fresh fruit milk powered or fresh fruit syrup with tapioca pearls sitting on the bottom of clear cup. Now bubble drinks also have special coffee, ice crush, sherbet and calpis (yogurt flavored drinks) with tapioca pearls. Bubble tea is not only a perfect drink in summer, also a very welcome drink in winter. We are serving warm, hot, cold or iced bubble drink for different customers every day.

What is tapioca?

Big, black, balls of chewy tapioca pearls produced from treated and dried cassava roots very rich in starch, and contain significant amounts of calcium (50 mg/100g), phosphorous (40 mg/100g) and vitamin C (25 mg/100g) are what make bubble tea such an interesting experience. These pearls are about the size of small marbles and they are sitting at the bottom of your cup. Bubble tea is usually served with a gigantic straw just the right size for slurping up these gummy treats. When did bubble tea become popular in North America?

Later in 1980’s, Bubble Tea was spreading quickly from Taiwan to other parts of Asia in the early 1990’s and to North America in the middle 1990’s.Bubble Tea has already gained in mass popularity on the Canadian west coast, more particularly in Vancouver, British Columbia. After 2000, more and more people began and loved to drink Bubble Tea in Toronto.

The Bubble Tea shop at York Lanes mall in York University became a pioneer, which has served highest quality of bubble drinks for a lot of students and community members since early 2001. Later, bubble tea became more and more popular at York University, and more and more people like it and drink it everyday at York. A lot of students told us that they not only can buy a cup of bubble tea out of campus, but also can have it on campus while having class, group meeting, taking exam, making fun, and on the way back home after school. Instead of just taking down liquid, the beverage drinker now has something to chew on and the result is one interesting beverage experience. We are so encouraged by our customers and we will definitely be continuing to provide all customers with the highest quality of bubble drinks and good customer services.
